Sushobhana

King Parikshit, enraged when his queen Sushobhana vanishes into a pond, orders the slaughter of all frogs. The terrified frogs appeal to their king, Ayu, who disguises himself as an ascetic and confronts Parikshit — revealing that Sushobhana is his own daughter, a deceiver of kings, and that he will return her if the slaughter stops.

Exhausted from hunting, King Parikshit of Ayodhya discovers a hidden pond and hears singing. He finds a maiden picking flowers — Sushobhana — and asks her to be his. She agrees on one condition: he must never show her water. He accepts, marries her, and brings her to his city, where his minister builds a waterless grove for their pleasure.
