Garuda hears his father's tale and sees the two colossal beasts locked in combat. Without hesitation, he acts, diving from the sky to seize the fighting elephant and tortoise, one in each mighty claw.

Hearing his father's words, Garuda saw the scene unfold. The elephant approached the lake, trumpeting. The water churned as the giant tortoise rose to meet its ancient foe. The two colossal beings, each maddened by generations of enmity, clashed — tusks and trunk against shell and jaw, agitating the water full of fishes. They were a story made flesh: two brothers who had cursed each other into this form, now locked in an endless, brutal dance. Garuda did not pause. The bird swooped down from the sky and, with a speed that belied his immense size, swiftly grasped the elephant and the tortoise, one in each claw. He had his meal. The strength required for his impossible task was now within his grasp.
