News reaches the Bhojas, Vrishnis, Andhakas, Panchalas, and the kings of Chedi and Kekaya that the Pandavas are suffering in exile. They assemble and ride to the forest, placing Vasudeva at their head. When they arrive, they censure Dhritarashtra's sons and ask a single question: what should be done?

The news traveled. The Bhojas heard it. The Vrishnis and the Andhakas heard it. The heirs of Panchala heard it. Dhrishtaketu, king of Chedi, heard it. The Kekaya brothers — famous in the world for their valor — heard it. The Pandavas were tormented by misery in the great forest. They assembled together. They were full of anger and intolerance. They rode to meet the Parthas, and when they arrived, they did not offer empty condolences. They censured the sons of Dhritarashtra openly. Then they asked: "What will we do?" All those bulls among the kshatriyas placed Vasudeva at their forefront. They surrounded Dharmaraja Yudhishthira and seated themselves around him. Krishna spoke. "The earth will drink the blood of Duryodhana, Karna, the evil-souled Shakuni, and Duhshasana as the fourth. After that, all of us will instate Dharmaraja Yudhishthira. Those deceitful ones deserve to be slain. This is eternal dharma." Out of his preference for the Parthas, Janardana was angered. It seemed as though he would burn down all beings. Arjuna saw this and moved to pacify him.
