Pandavas Reunite and Celebrate Bhima's Freedom
Nahusha discards his serpent body and ascends to heaven. Yudhishthira returns to the hermitage with Bhima and Dhoumya, and tells the assembled brahmanas, his brothers, and Draupadi everything that happened. They are astounded — and overjoyed.
King Nahusha discarded the body of a boa. Assuming a celestial form, he returned to the world of the thirty gods.
Yudhishthira, with dharma in his soul, returned to the hermitage with his brother Bhima, accompanied by Dhoumya. He told the assembled brahmanas the details of everything that had happened — the philosophical dialogue, the revelation of the curse, the story of Nahusha's fall, and the prophecy of his liberation.
The brahmanas, the other three Pandava brothers, and Draupadi were astounded. All the best of the brahmanas desired the welfare of the Pandavas. They censured Bhima's rashness — his habit of charging into danger without thought — and told him not to act in this way again.
But their censure was mingled with joy. The Pandavas were extremely delighted at seeing the immensely strong Bhima freed from fear. They happily enjoyed themselves together in the hermitage, the danger past, the brothers reunited. Aranyaka Parva, Chapter 475
